Mission

For more than three decades, the Monday Night Disciples have regularly come together in prayer and fellowship to ask God to help them in their personal lives. We share our needs and accomplishments and prayerfully support one another in Jesus' presence, as we seek to grow in the love and spirit of Jesus Christ. In recent years, the Monday Night Disciples have expanded their activities to include religious retreats and providing caskets and memorial services at no charge for families whose babies die prematurely at birth, or due to miscarriage or abortion.

Program accomplishments

  • The Monday Night Disciples' Prayer Meeting and Retreats have the following purpose: to praise and worship the Lord, to give Glory and Honor to Him in communal prayer, to love one another, and build each man up so he learns his individual purpose for which he is being called. To go out as a group and individually "To proclaim the Word, be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient, convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching, and be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship, perform the work of evangelists; and fulfill our ministry." (2 Timothy 4: 2, 5). Please see our website at mondaynightdisciples.org for more information.
    Expenses $5,650
  • Monday Night Disciples' All God's Babies Caskets and Memorial Services: this line of activity began when a friend of the Sampey Family tragically lost her grandchild. The baby was still-born and the father didn't have the means to be able to bury him. So, the Monday Night Disciples decided to take on the task to build caskets and provide burial and memorial services free of charge for all families in need. Caskets sizes range to accommodate babies from a few weeks old up to two years old. The build time for each casket takes about two days, and the materials used are usually donated by local businesses. Each casket is made without the use of nails or screws of any kind. The lining of the caskets and the outfits for the babies to be buried in are made from wedding dresses that were donated for this purpose. Please see our website at mondaynightdisciples.org for more information.
    Expenses $57,803
