Program accomplishments

  • Creative Workforce Innovation is the umbrella for programs designed to create an education-to-employment pathway for people from backgrounds underrepresented in creative industries. Our Arts & Technology Programs include semester-long after-school programs, week-long camps, and workshops with community partners that introduce teens from under-resourced communities to creative professions. OA JET is a training, job placement, and registered apprenticeship program that provides access to professional crew positions in film and television for those with interest but limited opportunity. Contemporary Art Programs support emerging artists through professional practice workshops relevant to their careers and support an artist residency at Oakwood Arts that may include artist production, research, exhibitions, and community-engaged projects.
