Mission
To reduce the population of unwanted, neglected and abandon dogs and cats by sponsoring spay and neuter clinics, community education programs, providing temporary shelter and medical care until animals can be placed with foster or adoptive families, and providing support to nonprofit organizations, specially in the Costa Ballena area of Costa Rica.
Program accomplishments
- The Organization made grants in 2025 to El Refugio Hogar Animal Costa Ballena (El Refugio), a nonprofit, volunteer-run animal rescue organization in a rural area of Costa Rica. The funds were used in a manner consistent with the Organization's stated purposes, and expenditure responsibility protocols were followed. El Refugio made a significant impact on the pet overpopulation problem in its area, including accomplishing the following: 115 adoptions of dogs and cats, spay and neutering of 1,500 animals, and over 120 animals receiving care through its community outreach program.
