Program accomplishments

  • Since our founding in 2016, Family Leadership Center has been supporting connected, capable, caring, and courageous families and communities.A peaceful world starts at home. We envision a world where all people are empowered to listen; speak their truth with integrity and confidence; take care of others and themselves with resilience, responsibility, and accountability; and hold diverse views with respect and compassion.See schedule O for continuation. Children and adults today report feeling more isolated, alone, and anxious than ever before. Humans deeply need to experience belonging (to connect), growth/progress (to be capable), mattering (to count), and encouragement (to have courage). (These are the Crucial Cs developed by Amy Lew and Betty Lou Bettner based on Adlerian philosophy.) People need confidence that they are still connected, capable, and count, even when they mess-up.Family Leadership Center delivers these four Crucial Cs through toolkits, resources, and programs to build stronger connections, capability, mattering (count), and courage (the 4Cs) for families, teams, and communities.
