Mission

Our mission is to cultivate a thriving community teaching farm that grows food, builds leadershipthrough educative experiences, and promotes sustainability through affordable housing &transportation and alternative therapies to support wellbeing.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • We built a community greenhouse for UASC International to teach local families how to grow their own food and adopt sustainable practices. The project included constructing a low-cost, climate-appropriate greenhouse using recycled and locally sourced materials. We held hands-on workshops on seed selection, soil building, composting, water-efficient irrigation, and seasonal planting. Participants learned organic pest management and crop rotation to boost yields and soil health. Youth and womens groups were prioritized in training to strengthen community ownership and livelihoods. A seed bank and shared tool library were established to ensure long-term access and reduce costs. Monitoring and troubleshooting sessions helped farmers adapt techniques to local conditions. We created simple record-keeping templates so households can track yields and resource use. The greenhouse now serves as a demonstration site and training hub for neighboring communities. Overall, the project increased food security, promoted sustainable practices, and fostered local capacity and cooperation.
