Program accomplishments

  • In 2025 Old Dogs New Digs had 65 dog adoptions and 21 cat adoptions between Maine and Colorado. Most of these animals were taken from shelter environments and placed into foster homes until they were adopted. While animal shelters are well-intentioned they are often stressful for the animals. We also provided 32 community assistance grants to help pets stay with their loving owners in situations where medical care exceeds the financial capabilities of the owners. Expenses related to our animal care are included in the main expenses section of the filing.
