990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • In 2025 New 2 U facilitated the rescue and rehoming of 254 dogs puppies including 67 special needs puppies through the Cleft Rescue Unit. While most animals found temporary homes with foster families some required Board and Train services to enhance adoptability. Prior to adoption all dogs received essential veterinary care such as spaying neutering vaccinations deworming flea and heartworm preventatives microchipping and age-appropriate heartworm testing. Additionally many rescues needed specialized treatments like dental care heartworm treatment hernia repair parvo treatment and tumor removal. New 2 U ensures that every animal receives the necessary medical attention as recommended by veterinarians never resorting to euthanasia unless advised by veterinary professionals. Foster families are supported with essential supplies to ensure the well-being of the animals in their care.
    Expenses $121,712
  • Admitting 249 dogs come into our rescue through: shelters; transfers from other rescues; owner surrenders; unclaimed strays; Puppy Mill breeding facilities.
    Expenses $2,450
  • The Cleft Rescue Unit took in 67 special need puppies. Majority of these were newborn puppies unable to nurse on their own. This enabled all of them to have a chance at life they wouldnt have otherwise. The majority of these puppies were able to be placed into loving homes. The Cleft Rescue Unit also attends Cleft Events for kids to help show them they are not alone with this birth defect.
