Mission

EMPOWERING NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES FROM ACROSS THE COUNTRY BY FOSTERING CAREER READINESS PATHWAYS IN THE CLEAN ENERGY INDUSTRY, WITH ENERGY SOVEREIGNTY INITIATIVES, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING, AND SUSTAINABLE BUILDING DEPLOYMENT.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • RED CLOUD RENEWABLE'S ENERGY SOVEREIGNTY PROGRAM TACKLES ONE OF THE MOST URGENT NEEDS ON PINE RIDGE - SAFE, EFFICIENT HOMES THAT PROTECT FAMILIES THROUGH THE HARSH EXTREMES OF SOUTH DAKOTA'S CLIMATE. WHAT BEGAN AS WEATHERIZATION HAS GROWN INTO A MOVEMENT FOR ENERGY SOVEREIGNTY, ENSURING THAT FAMILIES AREN'T JUST SURVIVING WINTERS AND SUMMERS, BUT THRIVING IN HOMES THAT CONSERVE ENERGY, CUT UTILITY COSTS, AND CREATE HEALTHIER LIVING ENVIRONMENTS. BY UPGRADING INSULATION, SEALING LEAKS, AND MODERNIZING HEATING SYSTEMS, WE GIVE FAMILIES IMMEDIATE RELIEF WHILE STRENGTHENING LONG-TERM ENERGY INDEPENDENCE FOR NATIVE COMMUNITIES.
    Expenses $830,802 · revenue $21,189
  • OUR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM IS ABOUT MORE THAN CAREER TRAINING - IT'S A PATHWAY TO ENERGY SOVEREIGNTY, SUSTAINABILITY, AND CULTURAL RESILIENCE. OUR PROGRAMS COMBINE HANDS-ON SKILL BUILDING WITH THE VALUES AND TRADITIONS OF NATIVE COMMUNITIES, PREPARING PARTICIPANTS TO THRIVE IN THE RENEWABLE ENERGY INDUSTRY WHILE STAYING GROUNDED IN THEIR HERITAGE. FROM OUR PRE-APPRENTICESHIP READINESS PROGRAMS (PRE-ARP) TO THE WOMEN-FOCUSED BRIDGE INITIATIVE, WE CREATE OPPORTUNITIES THAT EMPOWER INDIVIDUALS AND STRENGTHEN ENTIRE COMMUNITIES. DISCOVER HOW WE ARE SHAPING A SKILLED NATIVE WORKFORCE, UNITING TRADITION WITH INNOVATION TO ADVANCE ENERGY INDEPENDENCE ACROSS INDIAN COUNTRY.
    Expenses $232,464 · revenue $161,332
  • OUR SUSTAINABLE BUILDING PROGRAM TACKLES THE HOUSING CRISIS ON PINE RIDGE WITH INNOVATION AND RESPECT FOR THE LAND. ONE OF THE WAYS WE DO THIS IS BY CONSTRUCTING DURABLE, HEXAGON-SHAPED HOMES MADE FROM CELLULAR CONCRETE - A MATERIAL THAT ALLOWS ENTIRE HOMES TO BE BUILT FAIRLY QUICKLY. THESE HOMES ARE DESIGNED TO PROVIDE SAFE, EFFICIENT, AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING SOLUTIONS WHILE SETTING A NEW STANDARD FOR SUSTAINABLE LIVING ON THE RESERVATION.IN ADDITION, WE WORK WITH COMPRESSED EARTH BLOCK (CEB) CONSTRUCTION, USING NATURAL MATERIALS FROM THE LAND ITSELF TO BUILD STRONG, BEAUTIFUL HOMES AND COMMUNITY STRUCTURES. TOGETHER, THESE APPROACHES BRING IMMEDIATE RELIEF TO THE HOUSING SHORTAGE WHILE HONORING A VISION OF RESILIENCE AND SELF-SUFFICIENCY.
    Expenses $356,808
