Mission
Sereia Films is a seafood education non-profit organization. Our seafood choices matter for the future of ocean health. Through video storytelling community events beach cleanups and presentations we educate our community about the problems and solutions facing our ocean.
Program accomplishments
- In 2024 Sereia Films participated in 49 events reaching 4,320 people. This included 12 presentations reaching 220 people 13 film screenings reaching 885 people 9 outreach events reaching about 2,800 people. We organized 3 aquaculture farm tours reaching 19 chefs hosted 10 Trashy Tuesday beach cleanups with 223 volunteers removing 3,743.50 pounds of trash from our coasts. This brings the total of trash Sereia Films has removed to 18,349.50 at the end of 2024. Sereia Films also hosted two seafood-tasting educational events with 160 attendees. Additionally Sereia Films won a Suncoast Regional Emmy award for its film on the family-run clam farm Two Docks Shellfish.
