Mission
The mission of Gentlemen By Choice is to develop tomorrow's leaders today through Leadership, Image, Financial Management and Etiquette (L.I.F.E.) training to at risk youth. This is accomplished through the implication of evidenced based curriculum and collaboration with several programs.
Program accomplishments
- Youth Personal Development and Leadership Training In 2024-2025, Gentlemen By Choice (GBC) proudly marked its 10th year of service, continuing to equip young men and young ladies with essential life and leadership skills. Our L.I.F.E. curriculum-Leadership, Image, Financial Management, and Etiquette-was expanded to include Personal Development, strengthening our ability to address social-emotional needs and prepare students for success. This year, GBC served 180 students ages 10-16, delivering 150+ hours of instruction across three Clark County schools and a community resource center. At the community center, we achieved a 100% completion rate, while in schools we observed a decrease in disciplinary incidents.Expenses $128,615
- Program Enhancements * Integrated sportsmanship training into boxing and basketball programs. * Introduced AI education to expose students to emerging technologies. * Launched an online academy with eight core programs, serving 30 students in its first year. Community Impact * Distributed 10,000+ holiday toys to families, reinforcing our values of service and leadership. * Added one new mentor to strengthen student support. * Partnered with two community resource centers to expand after-school programming. * Received a $15,000 Haas Foundation donation to support growth and delivery.0
- Feedback & Future Goals:Parents consistently reported improvements in sportsmanship, etiquette, and self-confidence, reinforcing the value of GBC programs. Looking ahead, GBC will expand the online academy and launch The Parent Circle, a new initiative to equip parents with resources and support. These efforts will build on a decade of impact and deepen our mission of developing tomorrow's leaders today.0
- Challenges: The district's new requirement for $10 million in cybersecurity insurance limited school-based access. GBC adapted by strengthening community-based delivery and expanding the online academy, ensuring students continued to receive consistent support.0
