Mission

Puget Sound Goat Rescue is a charity that rescues goats from a variety of situations where they are unwanted, mistreated, neglected or abused. The goats are cared for at the rescue until they are ready to be adopted to permanent, loving homes.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2024

Program accomplishments

  • Since its inception in 2001, over 2,500 goats have been rescued, with an average of nearly 200 per year in the last two years. During 2024, 127 goats were adopted, and over 100 goats were housed into 2025. In 2024, our organization has continued to rescue more goats in worse health than in prior years and needed more time to recover, and this increased the time we had to keep the goats with us. We are rescuing more adult goats and spreading our work throughout the year. Baby goat season is a specific time of year, and they come to us in the spring.
