Mission

We support the Norman High School Band Program which is part of Norman Public Schools.

990-EZ for the year ended June 30, 2026

Program accomplishments

  • Norman High Band Association: The Norman High Band serves 125-150 music students per year. The school district funding alone and student activity fees is not enough to support a robust band program, with marching band, jazz band, and concert band opportunities for kids. Our organization moved the band to marching contests by funding aspects of the marching show such as equipment, and movement and music arrangement costs. We also helped feed the kids at contests and events, and assisted with the cost of uniform replacement. We hosted band contests and gave the kids the opportunities to play in local venues. We hosted an end of the year reception and gave awards to the kids. We purchased music, band instruments, and music supplies for the kids use. We supported the band directors as needed with many hours of parent volunteer hours, as well as funding for guest clinicians and professional development.
