Mission

TIP advocates for disease prevention using an impactful network of vaccine champions who promote education and evidence-based public policy on the health benefits of childhood and adult vaccinations.

990 for the year ended September 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Educational and Community Engagement Outreach: TIP launched the WISE (Wellness Improvement for Senior Empowerment) initiative educating seniors about the importance of vaccination and equipping them with skills to talk to their adult children about vaccines and vaccination. In 2025, Texas experienced its largest measles outbreak in 30 years. TIP launched the "Don't Wait. Vaccinate, Texas" campaign to educate Texans about the importance of MMR vaccination. TIP also enlisted trusted community leaders to educate the public through video recordings and media appearences about the outbreak and how best to protect children.
    Expenses $356,785
  • Educational Advocacy highlights: TIP with The Baker Institute for Public Policy hosted a policy forum in November 2024 discussing anticipated state policy trends in the 2025 legislative session. TIP hosted five post legislative session debriefs to inform stakeholders about current immunization trends and state level policy changes and its impact to public health and immunization coverage rates. 130 participants attended the debrief sessions across the state.
    Expenses $228,450
  • Legislative Advocacy highlights: TIP supported 18 advocates to give public testimony during committee hearings from January-May 2025. TIP and supporters made 658 visits to legislative offices to educate lawmakers about vaccines and the impact of vaccine related policies to our communities. TIP and partners successfully defeated more than 90% of vaccine-limiting legislation filed during the 89th legislative session.
    Expenses $29,047
