Mission

To provide shelter and basic needs to Dawson County's homeless dogs and cats; to provide suitable forums for their adoption and to ensure all are spayed or neutered; to educate the citizens as to humane animal care.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Provided shelter, food and medicine to homeless animals. Through our adoption programs, we found loving homes for over 10,000 dogs and cats since 2008. Adoptions occur at our shelter facility and at offsite events, generally at PetSmart, hosted on most weekends during the year. We spay or neuter in our shelter program or through our financial support of the low cost spay/neuter program for non-shelter animals.
    Expenses $888,950
