Mission
Project Still I Rise is a community-based nonprofit organization founded in 2002. The mission of the agency is to empower today's youth for tomorrow's opportunities through academic enrichment, mentoring, & leadership development programming. PSIR's headquarters are located in Dallas, Texas. Project Still I Rise embraces the core values of collaboration, compassion, servant leadership & stewardship. Collaboration - we will work together with the community-at-large forming partnerships that support our mission. Compassion - we will provide service in the spirit of empathy, love & concern. Servant Leadership - we will create a serviced environment. Stewardship - we will manage resources effectively & responsibly. Project Still I Rise business model emphasizes collaboration with others, leveraging existing resources, building for the future through capacity development, innovation-driven solutions, cost-effective programming, & a strong emphasis on quality programs & service.
Program accomplishments
- Urban STEM Initiative The academic performance and engagement of youth from under-represented ethnic groups (African American, Latino, and Indigenous) in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) show statistically significant gaps compared to their counterparts. The Urban STEM Initiative engages underrepresented populations in STEM from grades 4-10 in an interactive program of skills-building and mentorship to encourage them to attend college and pursue a STEM degree.Expenses $13,201
- National Youth Chamber of Commerce The National Youth Chamber is a program under Project Still I Rise Inc. Project Still I Rise is a community based non-profit organization whose mission is to Empower Today's Youth For Tomorrow's Opportunities.
