Mission
Community Partners of Dallas is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing what abused and neglected children urgently need today to thrive tomorrow. Children access resources via their caseworker, and the agency works closely with CPS, CPI and Empower to ensure these dedicated public servants have the support they need.
Program accomplishments
- Rainbow Room emergency resource center - stocks every tangible resource a child of any age could need, from clothing and shoes to car seats and cribs, pajamas and toys - all new with tags on. Our Rainbow Room has been replicated in more than 155 cities in Texas. Caseworkers in Dallas County request items on behalf of the children they serve to support their health, happiness, safety and dignity after experiencing abuse or neglect. With 54% of our client population living on an annual household income of less than $14,000, this support is essential. 181,497 items were distributed to 15,730 children through the Rainbow Room in 2025. The Rainbow Room's daily operations are supported by dedicated community volunteers, Monday through Friday.Expenses $1,547,040
- Kids in Crisis financial support program - fills the gap for children and their caregivers who lack financial support by providing practical assistance and specialized services that stabilize families and help prevent deeper system involvement. Because kinship caregivers do not receive ongoing financial support from the state, financial roadblocks often stand between loving relatives and their ability to care for the children in their family. Kids in Crisis provides direct support for housing, transportation, medical and dental care, therapy and enrichment so children have more room to begin their healing process and remain connected to school and community.Expenses $298,412
- Indirect Program Expenses - includes Caseworker Wellness programming, Collaborative Space and Night Response Unit. Community Partners of Dallas' programs and services reach children through their state-appointed caseworker, a role that carries immense responsibility for the immediate and long-term safety and wellbeing of children in their care. The connection between these caseworkers and the children we serve is essential to positive outcomes for children navigating the child welfare system. CPD's Caseworker Wellness program is designed to support the stability that leads to better outcomes for kids by nurturing the personal wellbeing of frontline CPI, CPS and Empower caseworkers. The program offers opportunities for self-care, appreciation and morale building events along with professional development and leadership training for supervisors. This care and recognition are especially critical amid staffing shortages and ongoing system changes that place significant strain on the workforce. When children are removed from danger in the middle of the night, on weekends or holidays, our Night Response Support Program ensures they are welcomed into a space designed entirely around their needs. Following the most traumatizing moments in their young lives, children need safety and security while their caseworkers determine next steps. Staffed by DFPS, caseworkers and children in the Night Response unit have access to kid-friendly meals, shower and laundry facilities, a place to rest and all resources stocked in the Rainbow Room.Expenses $1,733,391
