Mission
Friends of the Dallas Public Library exists to support the mission of the Dallas Public Library system in its delivery of resources, services and information to the Dallas community.
Program accomplishments
- For 75+ years, Friends of the Dallas Public Library serves as the non-profit supporting the Dallas Public Library. This support includes the librarys 30 branch locations, 400+ member staff along with hundreds of programs and services. In 2024-2025, FoDPL funded programs including English Language Learning (ELL) classes, GED preparation classes and GED Testing Scholarships, early childhood literacy instruction, SMART Summer programs as well as library staff continuing education.Expenses $583,237
