Mission
NETWORK FOR YOUNG ARTISTS (NYA) IS A PERFORMING ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES CULTURAL PERFORMING ARTS OPPORTUNITIES YEAR-ROUND FOR STUDENTS IN SAN ANTONIO.
Program accomplishments
- NETWORK FOR YOUNG ARTISTS PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF PROGRAMS AND RESOURCES FOR YOUNG MUSICIANS, INCLUDING VOCAL, PIANO, GUITAR, DRUMS, AND DANCE CLASSES, AS WELL AS PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES. THE PRIMARY FOCUS IS TO MAKE MUSICAL TRAINING ACCESSIBLE AND AFFORDABLE FOR STUDENTS WHO MIGHT NOT OTHERWISE HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY, WITH SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE FOR THOSE WHO QUALIFY. PROGRAMS ARE LED BY EXPERIENCED INSTRUCTORS WHO HELP STUDENTS DEVELOP THEIR MUSICAL TALENTS, PERFORMANCE SKILLS, AND CONFIDENCE. IN ADDITION TO ARTISTIC GROWTH, THE PROGRAM EMPOWERS YOUTH TO BUILD SEFL-ESTEEM AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS.
