"OUR MISSION IS TO PROMOTE THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF DOWNTOWN LAREDO. FOSTERING COMMUNITY PRIDE AND INVOLVEMENT, STIMULATING DIVERSE BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT. THE VISION OF LAREDO MAIN STREET IS TO ENHANCE THE VIBRANT MULTICULTURAL COMMUNITY OF OUR HISTORIC DOWNTOWN. OUR GOAL IS TO DIVERSIFY THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT."

- EL CENTRO DE LAREDO FARMERS MARKET (CLFM) LAREDO MAIN STREET HOSTS THE EL CENTRO DE LAREDO FARMERS MARKET ON THE THIRD SATURDAY OF EACH MONTH, YEAR-ROUND, FROM 11:00 A.M. TO 3:00 P.M. AT THE OUTLET SHOPPES OF LAREDO. THIS MARKET CONNECTS SHOPPERS WITH LOCAL FARMERS, FOOD PRODUCERS, AND ARTISANS, PROMOTING HEALTHY LIVING, SUPPORTING THE LOCAL ECONOMY, AND AIDING DOWNTOWN LAREDO'S REVITALIZATION. THE MARKET HAS ALSO ACTED AS AN ECONOMIC INCUBATOR, WITH AT LEAST THREE LOCAL BUSINESSES STARTING AS VENDORS AND NOW OPERATING BRICK-AND-MORTAR STORES. ESTABLISHED DUE TO DOWNTOWN LAREDO'S DESIGNATION AS A FOOD DESERT BY THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, THE MARKET STRIVES TO IMPROVE ACCESS TO FRESH PRODUCE FOR SENIORS AND LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS AFFECTED BY THE AREA'S LACK OF MAJOR GROCERY STORES.
- JAMBOOZIE FESTIVAL LAREDO MAIN STREET HOSTED THE HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL UETA JAMBOOZIE, A DOWNTOWN MUSIC FESTIVAL HELD AT CULTURA BEER GARDEN. THE EVENT ATTRACTED OVER 3,000 ATTENDEES AND FEATURED LIVE MUSIC, LOCAL VENDORS, AND CRAFT BREWERIES. THE FESTIVAL NOT ONLY OFFERED ENTERTAINMENT BUT ALSO MADE A SIGNIFICANT ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THE DOWNTOWN AREA, SHOWCASING THE VIBRANCY AND POTENTIAL OF THE LOCAL COMMUNITY.
- SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOP LAREDO MAIN STREET COLLABORATED WITH MILEONE INCUBATOR TO PROVIDE AN EDUCATIONAL HANDS-ON SOCIAL MEDIA WORKSHOP TO HELP DOWNTOWN BUSINESS OWNERS STRENGTHEN THEIR ONLINE PRESENCE. PARTICIPANTS LEARNED PRACTICAL TIPS ON CREATING ENGAGING CONTENT, USING FACEBOOK AND INSTAGRAM EFFECTIVELY, AND UNDERSTANDING BASIC ANALYTICS TO REACH MORE CUSTOMERS. THE WORKSHOP ALSO PROVIDED ONE-ON-ONE GUIDANCE, GIVING ENTREPRENEURS TOOLS THEY CAN IMMEDIATELY APPLY TO PROMOTE THEIR BUSINESSES AND ATTRACT MORE VISITORS TO DOWNTOWN.
