GULF SWIMMING PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN, GROW, AND STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE, DEVELOPING LEADERS THROUGH COMPETITIVE SWIMMING. ITS MOTTO IS "COMPETITIVE SWIMMING FOR ALL".
Program accomplishments
- COMPETITION SUPPORT - PROVIDES TRAVEL FUNDING FOR SWIMMERS TO ATTEND NATIONAL AND REGIONAL SWIM MEETS. TRAINING AND EDUCATION - HOSTS ATHLETE AND COACH CLINICS, TRAINING CLASSES FOR OFFICIALS, AND CONFERENCES FOR MEMBER CLUBS. IN ADDITION, THEY PARTICIPATE IN THE USA SWIMMING ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING. SWIMMER AND SWIM CLUB SUPPORT - HOSTS AN OUTREACH PROGRAM TO AID QUALIFIED FAMILIES BY REIMBURSING THEIR MEET ENTRY FEES FOR A DEFINED NUMBER OF MEETS PER MONTH. THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES ACCESS TO MEET EQUIPMENT FOR MEMBER CLUBS. IN ADDITION, GULF SWIMMING HOLDS A RETREAT FOR THE SWIMMER COMMITTEE THAT FURTHERS THEIR RELATIONSHIPS AND IDENTIFIES WAYS TO HELP ALL MEMBER SWIMMERS.Expenses $899,033 · grants $12,460 · revenue $907,954
