Mission
THE PURPOSE OF THE BVVFD SHALL BE TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY ENDANGERED BY FIRE, IMMINET PERIL, OR AN EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCE. THE BVVFD SHALL ACQUIRE, MAINTAIN, AND OPERATE THE EQUIPMENT NECESSARY TO THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF THIS PURPOSE; AND TO PROMOTE, PRACTICE, AND TEACH FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY.
Program accomplishments
- BVVFD SERVICES THE COMMUNITY AS FOLLOWS: FIRE AND FIRST RESPONDER FOR EMERGENCIES: EMS, MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENTS, FALSE ALARMS, NON-FIRE SERVICE CALLS, CITIZEN ASSISTANCE, GAS LEAKS, TRASH FIRES, DOWNED POWER LINES AND HOUSE FIRES. BVVFD ENSURES ALL VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT UNDERGO CONTINUAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE. BVVFD ENSURES ALL PAID AND VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS ARE TRAINED AND PRACTICE FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY MEASURES.Expenses $360,905 · revenue $236,087
