Amigos de las Americas builds partnerships to empower young leaders, advance community development, and strengthen multi-cultural understanding in the Americas.
Program accomplishments
- The Adelante Chicago Chapter of Amigos de las Americas is part of a Chapter Network that recruits, trains, and supports AMIGOS volunteers and families in their local community. Volunteers from the Chicago area train together before leaving for their summer experience in Latin America. Our board supports volunteers with packing, pre-departure immunizations, fundraising, and overall preparation. Related program fees paid to the Amigos de las Americas national office include volunteer travel, training, and participation.Expenses $13,205 · grants $7,658
