Mission
To contribute to the professional and personal development of member economists and to the betterment of public education in Texas to expand public knowledge and understanding of family and consumer sciences education and to represent the profession as a whole where the image, expertise and scope of FCSTAT prove useful.
Program accomplishments
- AN ANNUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONFERENCE WITH WORKSHOPS AND GENERAL SESSIONS PRODUCED BY THE FCSTAT STAFF. THE WORKSHOPS AND SESSIONS ARE A MIXTURE OF GENERAL EDUCATIONAL TOPICS, INCLUDING TECHNOLOGY, BUT ARE ALSO SPECIFIC TO FAMILY AND CONSUMER SCIENCES CURRICULUM.
- THE LIABILITY INSURANCE IS AN OPTIONAL INSURANCE FOR MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION. THE MEMBERS PURCHASE THE INSURANCE THRU FCSTAT FOR A SMALL ADMINISTRATION FEE.
