990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • THE MISSION OF HAPPY HANDS IS TO EMPOWER CHILDREN WHO ARE DEAF OR HARD OF HEARING TO FLOURISH. WE DO THIS BY EDUCATING THE CHILD, NURTURING THE FAMILY AND BUILDING HOPE FOR THEIR FUTURE. WE SERVE APPROXIMATELY 70 CHILDREN AND 200 FAMILY MEMBERS EACH YEAR. WE ARE COMMITTED TO EXPANDING LANGUAGE ABILITY IN THESE CHILDREN, AGE 6 WEEKS THROUGH 4TH GRADE SO THEY CAN BE SUCCESSFUL IN SCHOOL, ENABLING THEM TO BE CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF THEIR COMMUNITIES, FREE FROM GOVERNMENT SUPPORT, WHO CAN FULFILL THEIR DREAMS. WITHOUT EARLY INTERVENTION AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS LIKE OURS THESE CHILDREN WOULD EXPERIENCE GAPS IN LANGUAGE AND LITERACY DEVELOPMENT THAT WOULD WIDEN EACH YEAR AND LEAD TO FUNCTIONAL ILLITERACY.
