THE MISSION OF YOUTH SERVICES IS TO VALUE AND ACCEPT ALL YOUTH, SUPPORTING AND CHALLENGING THEM TO EMBRACE THEIR POTENTIAL. SINCE 1969, THE ORGANIZATION HAS STRATEGICALLY GROWN TO MEET THE CHANGING AND INCREASINGLY COMPLEX NEEDS OF YOUTH, AGE 12 THRU 24. YOUTH SERVICES ASSISTS MORE THAN 17,000 YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES ANNUALLY WITH AN ARRAY OF INNOVATIVE AND EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS FOCUSED ON COUNSELING, HOMELESS AND RUNAWAY YOUTH, DELINQUENCY PREVENTION AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT. COMMITTED TO PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICES, YOUTH SERVICES IS ACCREDITED BY THE COUNCIL ON ACCREDITATION.
Program accomplishments
- 1. YST WAS AWARDED A SAG GRANT TO OPERATE A SUMMER PROGRAM SERVING 27 YOUTH. PROGRAM ACTIVITIES INCLUDED VOLUNTEERING AT THE EASTERN OKLAHOMA FOOD BANK, THERAPEUTIC ART ACTIVITIES, EDUCATIONAL MUSEUM VISITS, AND HANDS-ON COOKING CLASSES.2. IN NOVEMBER OF 2024, YST PURCHASED THE KNOLLWOOD APARTMENT COMPLEX USING ARPA FUNDS AWARDED THROUGH THE OFFICE OF JUVENILE AFFAIRS. IN 2025 THESE FUNDS WERE USED TO REFURBISH 48% OF THE UNITS, INCREASING THE AVAILABILITY OF SAFE AND STABLE HOUSING OPTIONS FOR HOMELESS YOUTH.3. YST'S GIFTS OF HOPE PROGRAM, WHICH PROVIDES CHRISTMAS GIFTS TO YST CLIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES REACHED A RECORD NUMBER OF RECIPIENTS. A TOTAL OF 660 GIFTS WERE DISTRIBUTED TO CLIENTS DURING THE 2024 CHRISTMAS SEASON.Expenses $7,346,898 · revenue $69,670
