Mission
TO ENCOURAGE AND PROMOTE RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP. TO PROMOTE HUMANE TREATMENT OF LABRADOR RETRIEVERS, AND TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL SERVICES TO THE PUBLIC ABOUT RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP.
Program accomplishments
- In 2025 Golden Gate Labrador Retriever Rescue helped rehome over 150 Labs and Lab Mixes. We rescue these dogs from shelters and help take in the dogs from their owners. We have over 325 volunteers around the San Francisco By Area and we hold workshops to educate the public on spay and neuter and proper dog ownership. During 2025 we held over 7 in person pet fairs and 5 Virtual Zoom Pet Fairs.We work with the adopters if they need training help.We started a new program for GGLRR:1) We are working on a spay and neuter program where people can apply who cant afford to get their dog fixed.a. We donated $10,000 to the Napa Humane Society and sponsored the spay and neuters for the month of November 2025.Expenses $351,596 · grants $10,000
