Mission
Kids 4 Green Culebra is a nonprofit organization committed to fostering environmental awareness sustainability practices and community development through education recycling initiatives and collaborative projects. In 2024 the organization carried out several community service programs including beach clean-ups educational workshops for youth and the distribution of essential goods to underserved families. In addition the organization benefited from in-kind professional services such as architecture and planning donated by experts in support of its environmental mission. These activities reflect our ongoing commitment to public service and the advancement of ecological responsibility in the region.
Program accomplishments
- Kids 4 Green Culebra provided hands-on environmental education to children and youth in Culebra through interactive workshops school programs and community outreach initiatives. These programs focused on sustainability recycling and marine life preservation. Over 85 children participated during the year creating eco-friendly projects and leading awareness campaigns that promote environmental responsibility.Expenses $6,812
- Kids 4 Green Culebra facilitated environmental education workshops in collaboration with local schools teaching over 100 children about conservation recycling and the impact of waste on the islands ecosystem. These interactive sessions used games crafts and local field trips to instill a love for nature and responsible habits from a young age.Expenses $5,190
- The organization led the restoration of a community garden and composting station engaging volunteers and local families to promote food sustainability and environmental stewardship. The space serves as a living classroom where children and adults learn about agriculture composting and healthy eating habits.
