Mission

The Organization pursues to improve the civic conscience and socio-cultural environment of our children and youngsters'. through the collection, study and systematic investigation of all manifestations of Puerto Rican culture, as well as through their diffusion across the southeastern part of the country. Program accomplishments

  • Using restricted funds provided by donors, the Organization has held scheduled conferences and public conversations at its site before earthquakes, occurred during 2021 in the south of Puerto Rico, which necessitated the closing of the site. Since then, we have continued offering these educational and cultural activities by broadcasting them to audiences through a virtual platform, and with the coordination of volunteers rebroadcasting the same events over social networks. In addition, the events are filed on our webpage so they can be seen and enjoyed in the future. The Organization has also produced more than 40 books, among which are monographs, biographies, Puerto Rican's culture and musical, Puerto Rico's great classical composers and musicians and conferences on the abolition of slavery in Puerto Rico. Aso, around 60 articles on various topics of Puerto Rico's culture have been published in a local digital newspaper. An exhibition of reproductions of various musical instruments from Puerto Rico, that have disappeared and forgotten and were discovered in museums in the United States and Germany, is currently presented in a local museum of art, with plans later to move the exhibition to other centers on the island. Other activities include a community workshop for the assembly of the traditional Puerto Rican tiple instrument, three books of Puerto Rican music designed, produced and presented, an electronic book created about the traditional musical instruments of Puerto Rico, video documentaries about the history, manufacturing and assembly of instruments and developments of the Puerto Rican tiple. An online store to obtain our extensive publications is available for the public.
