Mission

OUR MISSION IS TO RAISE FUNDS AND COLLECT FOOD TO DISBURSE TO THE LOCAL NEEDY, FREE OF CHARGE, THROUGH PARTICIPATING NON-PROFIT AGENCIES AND ORGANIZATIONS WITH SPECIAL ATTENTION GIVEN TO THE HOLIDAY SEASON.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • CONSISTENT WITH THE PROGRAMS PURPOSE, FUNDS WERE RAISED THROUGH AN APPEAL TO THE PUBLIC IN SARASOTA AND MANATEE COUNTIES. AS A RESULT OF THE PUBLICS RESPONSE, TWENTY-FIVE DOLLARS FOOD GIFT CARDS AND OTHER DENOMINATIONS OF FOOD CARDS WITH A TOTAL VALUE OF $225,855 WERE DISTRIBUTED TO PARTICIPATING NON-PROFIT AGENCIES AND CHURCHES TO FORWARD TO THEIR NEEDY. DURING 2025, ELEVEN SCHOOLS COLLECTED FOOD FOR US AT THANKSGIVING WITH AN ESTIMATED ONE TON OF FOOD COLLECTED VALUED AT AN ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $3,400, ASSUMING $1.70 PER POUND. FOR 2025, RATHER THAN HOLDING A FOOD DRIVE FOR OUR WHOLE ORGANZIATION AS WE HAD DONE IN PREVIOUS YEARS, WE HAD EACH OF OUR FOOD PANTRIES GO PICK UP FOOD DONATIONS FROM SCHOOLS AND OTHER PLACES. THOSE AGENCIES DID NOT REPORT BACK TO US THE AMOUNTS OF FOOD COLLECTED, AND WHAT THEY DID COLLECT, THEY GAVE AWAY.
    Expenses $378,730
