Mission
ALABAMA ARISE IS A STATEWIDE, MEMBER-LED ORGANIZATION ADVANCING PUBLIC POLICIES TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF ALABAMIANS WHO ARE MARGINALIZED BY POVERTY. OUR MEMBERSHIP INCLUDES FAITH-BASED, COMMUNITY, NONPROFIT AND CIVIC GROUPS, GRASSROOTS LEADERS AND INDIVIDUALS FROM ACROSS AL.

- ORGANIZING: ARISE STRENGTHENS OUR COALITION THROUGH EDUCATING OUR MEMBERS AND DEEPENING COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT. THE ARISE ORGANIZING TEAM HOSTS EDUCATIONAL WORKSHOPS, LISTENING SESSIONS AND TRAININGS ACROSS THE STATE. IN FY2025, ARISE STAFF PRESENTED AT 216 COMMUNITY EVENTS REACHING OVER 11,000 PARTICIPANTS.Expenses $599,224 · grants $120,000 · revenue $19,633
- ADVOCACY: ARISE ENGAGES A LIST OF OVER 12,000 INDIVIDUALS IN ADVOCACY ALERTS. IN FY2025, WE SENT 50 TARGETED ACTION ALERTS GENERATING OVER 12,000 INDIVIDUAL LEGISLATIVE CONTACTS, SUCCESSFULLY SUPPORTED 13 BILLS TO ADVANCE OUR POLICY PRIORITIES, AND BLOCKED HARMFUL LEGISLATION THAT WOULD UNDERMINE OUR AGENDA. ARISE REACHES A STATEWIDE AUDIENCE AS A TRUSTED SOURCE OF INFORMATION TO PROMOTE OUR POLICY PRIORITIES. IN FY2025, ARISE STAFF PRODUCED 25 MEDIA RELEASES AND WERE CITED OVER 2,000 TIMES IN LOCAL, REGIONAL AND NATIONAL MEDIA STORIES.Expenses $562,702
