THE KNOX COUNTY EDUCATION ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS AND DEFENDS TEACHERS' 603 RIGHTS; AND COLLABORATES WITH KNOX COUNTY SCHOOLS ON SALARIES, BENEFITS AND WORKING CONDITIONS IN KNOX COUNTY, TN. THE ASSOCIATION PAYS TN TEA AND NATIONAL NEA DUES WHICH COVER LIABILITIES AND BENEFITS FOR MEMBER TEACHERS.

- KCEA IS AN AFFILIATE OF THE TEA. BOTH ENTITIES WERE ORGANIZED AND CHARTERED FOR 3 PURPOSES: (1) THE ELEVATION OF TEACHING, (2) THE PROMOTION & SPIRIT OF FELLOWSHIP & FRATERNITY AMONG ITS MEMBERS, AND (3) THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE CAUSE OF EDUCATION, TO THE END THAT ADEQUATE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES MAY BE PROVIDED FOR THE USE OF THE STATE OF TENNESSEE.
