VOLUNTEER BOARD MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN SPONSORSHIP OF MEET THE CANDIDATE ACTIVITIES & YEARLY POLICY MEETINGS WITH THEIR LEGISLATORS TO EDUCATE THEM ABOUT AG POLICY & HOW THE INDUSTRY IS IMPACTED BY LAWMAKERS.

LEADERS ATTEND DISTRICT STATE & NATIONAL CONFERENCES TO NETWORK WITH FARMERS & OTHER AGRICULTURALISTS TO LEARN ABOUT CURRENT ISSUES FACING AGRICULTURE. A HIGHLY DEVELOPED COMMITTEE STRUCTURE PROVIDES LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS THROUGH MEETINGS, REGULAR COMMUNICATIONS AND AGRICULTURE ACTIVITIES.
- YOUTH AGRICULTURAL INITIATIVE THE OBION COUNTY FARM BUREAU PROVIDES A SCHOLARSHIP TO A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ENROLLING IN COLLEGE WHO IS PLANNING ON MAJORING IN AGRICULTURE YEARLY. OBION COUNTY FARM BUREAU ALSO SPONSORS 4-H ACTIVITIES THRU EXTENSION SERVICES IN THE COUNTY THAT REACH OUT TO YOUTH.
