THESE PROGRAMS REINFORCE SKILLS LEARNED IN SCHOOL (SUCH AS READING AND MATH) WHILE INCORPORATING SOCIAL SKILLS, ART, PHYSICAL FITNESS, AND PRE-VOCATIONAL TRAINING. STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN REGULAR FIELD TRIPS WHICH ALLOW THEM TO HAVE COMMUNITY-BASED INSTRUCTION TO GENERALIZE THE SKILLS THEY HAVE LEARNED. HIGH POINT VILLAGE OFFERS INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP SESSIONS AT VARIOUS TIMES DURING THE DAY AND EVENING FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF THOSE WHO ARE ALREADY AT HIGH POINT PARTICIPATING IN OTHER PROGRAMS AS WELL AS FOR THOSE WHO COME TO HIGH POINT ONLY FOR THERAPIES.
