Mission

We are a community foundation whose mission is making Trenton even better through community engagement, building pride, and community focused giving. We fund grassroots projects and groups doing innovative and inspiring work.

990 for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Building on past successes, we have been able to increase the overall amount of City-wide grants awarded and increase the level of individual grants awarded. This year, 17 grants were awarded from the 76 that appkied.
    Expenses $113,954 · grants $110,096
  • This year we were able to put additional effort into community outreach through the four wards of the City so that more opportunity was made available to grassroots community efforts to get funded through the IAT City-wide grants process. This outreach was significantly expanded through volunteer efforts and additional communications with the many community oriented groups already working within the City.
    Expenses $1,716
  • During the year we have solidified the underlying operational processes and systems needed to more effectively support the grant rounds, outreach, acceptance, review and selection processes. This has enabled us to more effectively work with those that are reading the grants and providing them with the support systems they need to read and score the grants more efficiently. This also allows improved final review and selection processes as these can now be done in-person, completely remotely, or in a hybrid fashion.
    Expenses $31,365
