Mission
THE MISSION OF THE KENTUCKY PHARMACISTS ASSOCIATION IS TO PROMOTE THE PROFESSION OF PHARMACY, ENHANCE THE PRACTICE STANDARDS OF THE PROFESSION, AND DEMONSTRATE THE VALUE OF PHARMACIST SERVICES WITHIN THE HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. THE ASSOCIATION ALSO PROVIDES A NUMBER OF PROGRAMS SAFEGUARDING THE PUBLIC HEALTH ARENA.
Program accomplishments
- KPHA PROVIDES VARIOUS SERVICES TO MEMBERS, INCLUDING HOLDING MID-YEAR AND ANNUAL CONFERENCES TO DISCUSS PHARMACY POLICY ISSUES, PROVIDING PUBLICATIONS, ETC. THE ORGANIZATION SERVES APPROXIMATELY 1,100 MEMBERS BY KEEPING THEM INFORMED OF CHANGES IN PHARMACY ISSUES.
- KPHA PROVIDES GRANT ADMINISTRATION SERVICES TO OTHER NON-PROFITS (ALL ASSOCIATED WITH THE PHARMACY PROFESSION).
- KPHA REPRESENTS AND ADVOCATES FOR THE PHARMACY INDUSTRY IN VARIOUS GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS.
