TO DELIVER FUN, CHALLENGING ADVENTURES THAT HELP PEOPLE LEARN ABOUT THEMSELVES, OTHERS AND THE ENVIRONMENT.
Program accomplishments
- FOUNDED IN 1993, PATHFINDER PROVIDES PROGRAMS FOR OVER 5,000 PEOPLE THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THESE PROGRAMS RANGE FROM HALF DAY TO 5 DAYS AND ARE DEDICATED TO BUILDING PERSONAL, SOCIAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY THROUGH THE POWER OF SHARED EXPERIENCE. WE OFFER EXPERIENTIAL PROGRAMS THAT DEVELOP LEADERSHIP, INCREASE SELF-CONFIDENCE, AND ENHANCE COMMUNICATION THROUGH TRUST AND TEAM-BUILDING ACTIVITIES. PARTICIPANTS WILL DEPART THEIR PATHFINDER EXPERIENCE WITH A STRONGER CONNECTION TO THE PEOPLE AND ENVIRONMENT AROUND THEM BY PARTICIPATING IN OUTDOOR ADVENTURE, COMMUNITY BUILDING ACTIVITIES, AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CLASSES.Expenses $726,883 · revenue $743,125
- THIS PROGRAM IS THE RENOVATION OF THE EXISTING ST. PETERSBURG SCIENCE CENTER WHICH HAS BEEN CLOSED SINCE 2014 AND FALLEN INTO DISREPAIR. PATHFINDER OUTDOOR EDUCATION, INC., RECEIVED A STATE GRANT TO RENOVATE THE CENTER AND IS INVOLVED IN A COMMUNITY EFFORT TO SUBSTANTIALLY RENOVATE THE BUILDING SO THAT IT CAN ONCE AGAIN BE USED AS A SCIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL FACILITY FOR THE AREA.Expenses $122,250
