CERTIFICATION OF MASTER'S LEVEL PROFESSIONALS. IN PURSUIT OF THIS MISSION, NBCC PROMOTES: QUALITY ASSURANCE IN COUNSELING PRACTICE, THE VALUE OF COUNSELING, PUBLIC AWARENESS OF QUALITY COUNSELING PRACTICE, PROFESSIONALISM IN COUNSELING, AND LEADERSHIP IN CREDENTIALING.

- NBCC REVIEWS AND EXAMINES INDIVIDUAL'S CREDENTIALS IN ORDER TO ATTEST TO THEIR QUALIFICATIONS TO PROVIDE PROTECTION OF THE PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL PROMOTION AND RECERTIFICATION OF COUNSELORS. NBCC CURRENTLY CERTIFIES OVER 71,000 COUNSELORS.
