Mission

To be a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for education and the well-being of every child.

990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • Member Dues, Scholarships, Grants, and Awards assist local units by providing training and resources to promote the health, safety, education, and overall welfare of school-aged children. Conventions, conferences, and trainings are designed to educate and provide relevant programs, strategies, resources, and support to PTA leaders and members so that they are empowered to effectively connect to families and the local school communities in successful achievement of all students and improvement of all schools. Georgia PTA serves as a link between the national organization and membership within the state. A person who joins a local Parent Teacher Association automatically becomes a member of National PTA and Georgia PTA. Georgia PTA represents 80,000 members at the state legislature, State Board of Education, and other education and child-focused organizations; provides support and training for local PTAs through workshops and publications; coordinates special projects to promote the welfare of Georgia's children and youth, as well as additional projects and support.
