Mission
THE UNION'S OBJECTIVES ARE TO PROVIDE BENEFITS FOR ITS MEMBERS, SUCH AS INSURANCE PROGRAMS AND LEGAL REPRESENTATION AS WELL AS UPGRADING THE IMAGE OF THE FIREFIGHTER, ESTABLISHING ITS MEMBERS IN ALL PHASES OF THEIR VOCATION AND PERSISTENT PROSECUTION OF THE CASE FOR FIRE FIGHTERS.
Program accomplishments
- PER CAPITA MEMBERSHIPS: MEMBERSHIP DUES IN THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF FIREFIGHTERS, VIRGINIA PROFESSIONAL FIREFIGHTERS AND NORTHERN VA LABOR FEDERATION WERE PAID FOR THE MEMBERS OF THE LOCAL FIREFIGHTERS UNION.
- MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS: VARIOUS INSURANCES AND PREPAID LEGAL PROGRAMS WERE OFFERED TO MEMBERS, LEGAL REPRESENTATION WAS OBTAINED TO REPRESENT MEMBERS IN THEIR EFFORTS TO SECURE JUST AND REASONABLE WORKING CONDITIONS.
