THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS STRATEGICALLY INVESTS IN INNOVATIVE PROGRAMS, PARTNERSHIPS, AND INITIATIVES THAT EMPOWER ALL LEARNERS, SUPPORT EDUCATORS, AND PREPARE STUDENTS TO EXCEL IN A DYNAMIC, GLOBAL FUTURE.
Program accomplishments
- THE EDUCATION FOUNDATION OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS WORKS WITH THE SCHOOL SYSTEM AND THE COMMUNITY TO CONNECT THE PRIVATE SECTOR WITH EDUCATION INITIATIVES THAT SUPPORT STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT AND PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE WORKFORCE. THE FOUNDATION SUPPORTS PROGRAMS AND INITIATIVES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS: 1) STUDENT PROGRAMS A. STUDENT PROGRAM GRANTS B. CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES C. ACADEMIC COMPETITIONS D. LEADERSHIP EXPERIENCES E. BEFORE/DURING/AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES F. EARLY CHILDHOOD INITIATIVES2) COLLEGE & CAREER READINESS A. SCHOLARSHIPS3) FAMILY & COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT A. FOOD & NUTRITION (SCHOOL LUNCH DEBT RELIEF) B. EVENTS & ACTIVITIES THAT ENGAGE AND INFORM FAMILIES & COMMUNITIES C. STUDENTS IN NEED, INCLUDING HOMELESS STUDENTS & WEEKEND/SUMMER FOOD PROGRAMS 5) EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION & DEVELOPMENT A. PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCES/CONFERENCES B. TEACHER GRANTSANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS PROVIDES THE SERVICES OF TWO EMPLOYEES FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF THE PROGRAMS AND OPERATIONS OF THE FOUNDATION. TOTAL EXPENSES FOR PAYROLL AND BENEFITS WERE APPROXIMATELY $367,000 FOR THE YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2025. THESE AMOUNTS ARE NOT INCLUDED AS INCOME AND EXPENSES IN THE FORM 990. THE FOUNDATION DIRECTLY HOSTS:- A VARIETY OF FUNDRAISING EVENTS INCLUDING THE EMPLOYEE GIVING CAMPAIGN, STATE OF THE SCHOOLS, EXCELLENCE IN EDUCATION, AND MILITARY SERVICE AWARDS.
