Program accomplishments

  • DRUG STRATEGIES' PRIMARY FOCUS IS ON RESPONDING TO THE CURRENT OVERDOSE EPIDEMIC IN THE US, DRIVEN LARGELY BY THE OPIOID FENTANYL. IN 2024-2025, MORE THAN 100,000 DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS WERE REPORTED, AND THE NUMBERS CONTINUE TO CLIMB. GREATER EFFORTS AT PREVENTION AND TREATMENT ARE URGENTLY NEEDED.
