THE ORGANIZATION SERVES AS THE VOICE OF THE U.S. MARITIME INDUSTRY IN PROMOTING SOUND PUBLIC POLICY THROUGH LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY INITIATIVES THAT INCLUDE MARINE SAFETY, MARITIME SECURITY AND ENVIRONMENTALLY PROTECTIVE OPERATING PRINCIPLES.
