Program accomplishments

  • ADVANCED PRACTICE CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS - PNCB ADMINISTERS ADVANCED PRACTICE CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS AND ANNUAL RECERTIFICATION FOR PEDIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONERS IN BOTH PRIMARY CARE AND ACUTE CARE SETTINGS. THESE PROGRAMS VALIDATE SPECIALIZED CLINICAL KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES ESSENTIAL TO DELIVERING HIGH-QUALITY CARE TO PEDIATRIC POPULATIONS. DURING THE YEAR, PNCB CONTINUED TO SUPPORT A HIGHLY QUALIFIED PEDIATRIC WORKFORCE BY MAINTAINING RIGOROUS EXAM DEVELOPMENT, PSYCHOMETRIC VALIDATION, AND RECERTIFICATION PROCESSES THAT ENSURE CONTINUED COMPETENCE. THESE CERTIFICATIONS PLAY A CRITICAL ROLE IN STRENGTHENING WORKFORCE READINESS, SUPPORTING CLINICAL EXCELLENCE, AND IMPROVING PATIENT OUTCOMES ACROSS HEALTHCARE SETTINGS. PNCB'S ADVANCED PRACTICE CERTIFICATIONS ARE WIDELY RECOGNIZED BY EMPLOYERS, HEALTHCARE SYSTEMS, AND REGULATORY BODIES AS A TRUSTED STANDARD OF PEDIATRIC NURSING EXPERTISE.
  • GENERAL PEDIATRIC NURSING CERTIFICATION (CPN) - PNCB OFFERS CERTIFICATION AND ANNUAL RECERTIFICATION FOR REGISTERED NURSES WHO PROVIDE CARE TO CHILDREN ACROSS A VARIETY OF HEALTHCARE SETTINGS. THE CERTIFIED PEDIATRIC NURSE (CPN) CREDENTIAL VALIDATES FOUNDATIONAL PEDIATRIC KNOWLEDGE AND SUPPORTS PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND ACCOUNTABILITY IN PEDIATRIC NURSING PRACTICE. THROUGH INITIAL CERTIFICATION AND ONGOING RECERTIFICATION, PNCB ENSURES THAT CERTIFIED NURSES MAINTAIN CURRENT KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES ALIGNED WITH EVOLVING STANDARDS OF CARE. THIS PROGRAM CONTRIBUTES TO IMPROVED QUALITY OF CARE, ENHANCED PATIENT SAFETY, AND GREATER CONFIDENCE AMONG FAMILIES AND HEALTHCARE TEAMS.
  • INDUSTRY ADVANCEMENT & WORKFORCE INITIATIVES - PNCB ADVANCES THE PEDIATRIC NURSING PROFESSION THROUGH STRATEGIC INITIATIVES THAT SUPPORT WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS, AND THOUGHT LEADERSHIP. DURING THE YEAR, PNCB ENGAGED IN ACTIVITIES THAT STRENGTHEN THE PEDIATRIC NURSING WORKFORCE, INCLUDING COLLABORATIVE PARTNERSHIPS, PROFESSIONAL OUTREACH, AND INITIATIVES ALIGNED WITH EMERGING HEALTHCARE NEEDS. THESE EFFORTS POSITION PNCB AS A NATIONAL LEADER IN PEDIATRIC NURSING CERTIFICATION AND WORKFORCE ADVANCEMENT, SUPPORTING A STRONGER, MORE PREPARED HEALTHCARE WORKFORCE DEDICATED TO IMPROVING CHILD HEALTH OUTCOMES.
  • OTHER PROGRAMS: THE ACTIVITY IN THIS FUNCTION RELATES PRIMARILY TO PNCB'S MICRO CREDENTIAL PROGRAMS (ACTIVATE), WHICH ARE COMPETENCY BUILDING CERTIFICATE PROGRAMS TO INCREASE CONFIDENCE IN PROVIDING ADOLESCENT CARE. THIS FUNCTION ALSO INCLUDES GENERAL COMPETENCY PROGRAMMING SUCH AS WEBINARS AND CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAMS THAT ARE NOT SPECIFICALLY RELATED TO ONE OF OUR PRIMARY FOUR EXAMS.
