Mission
WICHITA AREA SEXUAL ASSAULT CENTER WORKS WITH INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE SERVICES AND EDUCATION TO CREATE A CULTURE OF INTOLERANCE FOR SEXUAL VIOLENCE AND AN ATMOSPHERE OF HEALING FOR THOSE IMPACTED BY IT.
Program accomplishments
- ADVOCACY PROVIDES IMMEDIATE SUPPORT AND SERVICES FOR SURVIVORS OF SEXUAL ASSAULT AND THEIR FAMILIES. SERVICES INCLUDE 24-HOUR HOTLINE AND MEDICAL ADVOCACY, SAFETY PLANNING, ADVOCACY AND SUPPORT WITH THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM, ASSISTANCE WITH PROTECTION ORDERS, SUPPORT GROUPS AND ASSISTANCE WITH ACCESSING OTHER COMMUNITY RESOURCES. SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH. SURVIVORS MAY ACCESS SERVICES AT ANY POINT IN THEIR HEALING PROCESS. ALL SERVICES ARE FREE, VOLUNTARY, AND CONFIDENTIAL.Expenses $1,033,952
- EDUCATION OFFERS PROGRAMS TO THE COMMUNITY REGARDING SEXUAL ASSAULT. PROGRAMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR ALL AGE GROUPS AND INCLUDE PROGRAMMING FOR PARENTS, CHILDREN AGES 3 AND UP, CHURCHES AND OTHER COMMUNITY GROUPS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. PROGRAMS ARE FREE OF CHARGE.Expenses $344,651
