Mission
TO ENRICH AND ENHANCE HISTORIC DOWNTOWN CRYSTAL RIVER FOR CURRENT AND FUTURE GENERATIONS
Program accomplishments
- A MAJOR MILESTONE OF THE YEAR WAS THE RELOCATION OF CRYSTAL RIVER MAIN STREET INTO ITS NEW HOME AT THE FORMER COASTAL HERITAGE MUSEUM. THIS MOVE INVOLVED SOME RENOVATIONS TO RESTORE THE HISTORIC BUILDINGS CHARACTER WHILE IMPLEMENTING CRITICAL FLOOD-RESILIENCE MEASURES TO PROTECT ITS FUTURE. BY HONORING THE SITES ARCHITECTURAL INTEGRITY, THE PROJECT SYMBOLIZES A RENEWED COMMITMENT TO PRESERVING OUR CITYS HERITAGE DURING A PERIOD OF GROWTH. THE SPACE HAS QUICKLY BECOME A VISIBLE AND ACCESSIBLE HUB FOR MEETINGS AND VISITOR ENGAGEMENT. THIS TRANSFORMATION WILL STRENGTHEN THE VITAL CONNECTIONS BETWEEN RESIDENTS, BUSINESS OWNERS, AND LOCAL STAKEHOLDERS. ULTIMATELY, THE RESTORED BUILDING WILL STAND AS A RESILIENT CENTERPIECE FOR THE COMMUNITY. WE HOSTED 2 NEW DOWNTOWN EVENTS THAT INCREASED FOOT TRAFFIC AND SUPPORTED LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES THAT ALSO BROUGHT IN A NEW INCOME SOURCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION. WE HOSTED 6 ART ON THE AVENUES THAT EMBRACED AND ENCOURAGED THE PUBLIC TO SUPPORT OUR LOCAL ARTIST WHILE ALSO HELPING TO CREATE PUBLIC ART PIECES. WE ALSO HOSTED THE REGIONAL BOARD TRAINING FOR FLORIDA MAIN STREET BOARD MEMBERS. WE CELEBRATED OUR 10TH YEAR OF BEING AN ACCREDITED FLORIDA MAIN STREET. WE RECEIVED A SECRETARY OF STATE AWARD FOR THE CELEBRATING MAIN STREET. WE HAD OVER 136 HOURS OF TRAINING AND EDUCATION. WE CREATED AND HOSTED 2 NEW EVENTS CALLED THE MIX AND MINGLE TO BRING BUSINESS OWNERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND THE COMMUNITY TOGETHER TO LEARN ABOUT CRYSTAL RIVER MAIN STREET AND HOW THEY CAN GET INVOLVED. THIS HAS ALLOWED US TO INCREASE OUR VOLUNTEER BASE. WE LAUNCHED A NEW SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN CALLED HERITAGE DAYS LEADING UP TO WHEN CRYSTAL RIVER BECAME A CITY, THAT SHARED THE HISTORY OF CRYSTAL RIVER. BEHIND EACH ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS A SHARED VISION: TO BUILD A THRIVING, WELCOMING DOWNTOWN THAT REFLECTS THE SPIRIT OF CRYSTAL RIVER. AS 2025 CAME TO A CLOSE, CRYSTAL RIVER MAIN STREET STOOD PROUD OF ITS PROGRESS AND INSPIRED FOR THE OPPORTUNITIES AHEAD CONTINUING TO GROW, CONNECT, AND CELEBRATE THE HEART OF THE COMMUNITY.Expenses $34,083
