990 for the year ended June 30, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • THE READING HOSPITAL FOUNDATION ACHIEVED REMARKABLE SUCCESS IN FY25, ADVANCING PATIENT CARE THROUGH STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING INITIATIVES THAT ADDRESSED CRITICAL HEALTHCARE NEEDS ACROSS MULTIPLE SERVICE AREAS. THE FOUNDATION'S FLAGSHIP ACCOMPLISHMENT WAS SECURING FUNDING FOR A NEW ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY (EP) LAB, BRINGING STATE-OF-THE-ART CARDIAC TECHNOLOGY TO THE COMMUNITY. THIS ADVANCED FACILITY WILL SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCE THE HOSPITAL'S ABILITY TO DIAGNOSE AND TREAT COMPLEX HEART RHYTHM DISORDERS, PROVIDING PATIENTS WITH ACCESS TO CUTTING-EDGE CARDIOVASCULAR CARE WITHOUT THE NEED TO TRAVEL TO DISTANT MEDICAL CENTERS. RECOGNIZING THE VITAL CONNECTION BETWEEN NUTRITION AND WELLNESS, THE FOUNDATION LAUNCHED THE GROUNDBREAKING FOOD AS MEDICINE PROGRAM. THIS COMPREHENSIVE INITIATIVE PROVIDES PATIENTS WITH HEALTHY FOOD OPTIONS AND NUTRITIONAL EDUCATION, SPECIFICALLY TARGETING THE IMPROVEMENT OF OBESITY, DIABETES, AND HEART DISEASE OUTCOMES. THE FOUNDATION'S COMMITMENT TO SERVING VULNERABLE POPULATIONS WAS DEMONSTRATED THROUGH ITS SUPPORT OF STREET MEDICINE, ENSURING HEALTHCARE REACHES THOSE WHO MIGHT OTHERWISE GO WITHOUT MEDICAL ATTENTION. ADDITIONAL FUNDING PRIORITIES INCLUDED ADVANCING NURSING EDUCATION TO STRENGTHEN THE HOSPITAL'S WORKFORCE CAPABILITIES, UPGRADING NICU EQUIPMENT TO PROVIDE THE HIGHEST STANDARD OF CARE FOR THE REGION'S MOST FRAGILE PATIENTS, AND SUPPORTING THE REHABILITATION HOSPITAL'S MISSION TO HELP PATIENTS REGAIN INDEPENDENCE AND QUALITY OF LIFE.
