Program accomplishments
- IN 2025, AMBA CONTINUED ITS PARTNERSHIP WITH THE VETERANS BENEFITS BANKING PROGRAM (VBBP). VBBP IS A PROGRAM DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE UNBANKED AND UNDERBANKED VETERANS TO OPEN BANK OR CREDIT UNION CHECKING ACCOUNTS INTO WHICH THEIR VA MONETARY BENEFITS CAN BE DEPOSITED AND MANAGED. THE PROGRAM IS INTENDED TO HELP VETERANS AVOID THE LACK OF SAFETY, RELIABILITY, AND FLEXIBILITY INHERENT IN THE ONLY OTHER WAYS THEY CAN RECEIVE THEIR GOVERNMENT BENEFITS: PREPAID DEBIT CARDS AND PAPER CHECKS. AS OF THE END OF 2025, VBBP IS CREDITED WITH "BANKING" OVER 670,000 VETERANS. WE CONTINUED TO BUILD ON THE SUCCESS OF VETCENTS AS A COMPONENT OF VBBP, AN INTERACTIVE FINANCIAL JOURNEY CONNECTING VETERANS WITH FINANCIAL EDUCATION AND RESOURCES TAILORED TO THEIR NEEDS. AS OF 2025, VETCENTS DREW RESPONSES FROM MORE THAN 2,684 VETERANS, SPOUSES AND BENEFICIARIES. MORE THAN HALF WERE VETERANS WHO ANSWERED QUESTIONS ABOUT THEIR FINANCES AND WENT DEEPER TO EXPLORE VETCENTS OFFERINGS. FROM 2024 THROUGH THE END OF 2025, VBBP ONE-ON-ONE COUNSELING SERVICES COMPLETED OVER 4,100 COUNSELING PRE-ASSESSMENTS AND 1,821 COUNSELING SESSIONS, DELIVERING A WEALTH OF PERSONALIZED ADVICE.
- THE AMBA REBRAND WAS A MAJOR STEP FORWARD FOR AMBA, AN EFFORT TO MODERNIZE ITS IDENTITY AND SHARPEN HOW IT COMMUNICATES ITS MISSION OF STRENGTHENING THE FINANCIAL READINESS OF SERVICE MEMBERS, VETERANS, AND THEIR FAMILIES. THE PROJECT INTRODUCED A STRONGER BRAND STORY, A MORE CONTEMPORARY LOOK, AND A CLEARER WAY OF EXPRESSING AMBA'S LEADERSHIP IN MILITARY BANKING. AT THE CENTER OF THIS WORK WAS A NEW, USER-FOCUSED WEBSITE BUILT TO HELP PEOPLE QUICKLY UNDERSTAND WHO AMBA IS, WHAT IT OFFERS, AND HOW ITS PROGRAMS AND ADVOCACY EFFORTS CREATE REAL IMPACT. GUIDED BY RESEARCH, MEMBER FEEDBACK, AND A DEEP DIVE INTO HOW BANKS AND THEIR STAFF ACTUALLY USE AMBA'S DIGITAL RESOURCES, AMBA REDESIGNED THE WEB EXPERIENCE TO BE MORE INTUITIVE, ACCESSIBLE, AND ENGAGING. NAVIGATION IS CLEANER, INFORMATION IS EASIER TO FIND, AND THE SITE BETTER HIGHLIGHTS THE VALUE AMBA DELIVERS EVERY DAY. THE REBRAND ALSO REIMAGINED AMBA'S ANNUAL WORKSHOP, THE MILITARY BANKING SUMMIT, INTO A MORE ENERGETIC, FUTURE-FACING EVENT NOW FULLY WOVEN INTO THE WEBSITE. TOGETHER, THESE UPDATES GIVE AMBA A SHARPER VOICE, A STRONGER DIGITAL FOUNDATION, AND A RENEWED SENSE OF MOMENTUM AS IT LEADS THE NEXT ERA OF MILITARY BANKING.
- AMBA HELD ITS INAUGURAL MILITARY BANKING SUMMIT, MBS2025 (FORMERLY THE FALL WORKSHOP), A REIMAGINED AND REDESIGNED CAPSTONE EVENT THAT BROUGHT TOGETHER ALL STAKEHOLDERS - MEMBER BANKS, MILITARY AND VETERAN SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS, GOVERNMENT AND REGULATORY OFFICIALS, INDUSTRY SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND INNOVATORS TO ADDRESS THE MOST PRESSING ISSUES AND OPPORTUNITIES ASSOCIATED WITH MILITARY BANKING. THE EVENT PROVIDED A PLATFORM FOR SHAPING FINANCIAL OUTCOMES FOR MILITARY AND VETERAN COMMUNITIES, ENABLING SMARTER SUPPORT, AND BUILDING SHARED UNDERSTANDING.
