Mission
WE POINT PEOPLE TO JESUS THROUGH LOVING ACTION AND THE LIFE-GIVING WORD.
Program accomplishments
- EMMANNE MINISTRIES GRANTS TO AND WORKS CLOSELY WITH ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING SUSTAINABLE SUPPORT:SPIRITUAL INITIATIVE - EMMANNE MINISTRIES EXISTS TO POINT PEOPLE TO JESUS THROUGH LOVING ACTION AND THE LIFE-GIVING WORD. WE DO THIS BY INVESTING IN PEOPLE. OUR WORK BEGINS WITH BOOTS ON THE GROUND WE PARTNER TOGETHER TO CREATE ENVIRONMENTS FOR BENEVOLENT (LOVING ACTION) WORK. THIS PRACTICAL WORK HAS ALLOWED US TO BUILD TRUST WITH OUR KENYAN COMMUNITIES AND GIVEN US ACCESS TO SHARE THE WORD OF GOD IN A PLETHORA OF SETTINGS. (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)WE SHARE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND WE SHARE OUR LIVES WITH THESE PEOPLE, AND THIS HAS LED TO COUNTLESS DECISIONS OF FAITH IN JESUS, DISCIPLESHIP ENVIRONMENTS CREATED FOR CHILDREN, WOMEN AND FAMILIES, AND OUTREACH ACTIVITIES IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AROUND OUR COMMUNITIES IN RURAL KENYA. EDUCATION INITIATIVE - OUR VILLAGES ALREADY HAVE PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN PLACE, SO WE GO TO WHERE THE CHILDREN ARE BEING EDUCATED. BY GIVING EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES, TRAINING, SCHOLARSHIPS, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, FOOD AND FACILITY INFRASTRUCTURE, EMMANNE HAS EARNED THE TRUST IN SCHOOLS THAT HAVE OVER 450 STUDENTS IN ATTENDANCE. THIS, IN TURN, HAS GIVEN US ACCESS TO MINISTER AND CARE FOR THE STUDENTS' FAMILIES. WE BELIEVE OUR EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS WILL TOUCH THE MIND AND THE SPIRIT OF EACH STUDENT WE GET TO SUPPORT, AND WE KNOW THAT THESE STUDENTS WILL REACH THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL WITH OUR SUPPORT. ONE DAY IN THE FUTURE, MANY OF THESE STUDENTS WILL RETURN TO OUR VILLAGES AS THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS, SCHOLARS AND SPIRITUAL MENTORS. WE ARE IN THIS WORK FOR THE LONG HAUL, KNOWING THAT TODAY'S IMPACT WILL REAP BENEFITS FOR GENERATIONS TO COME.CHILDREN'S INITIATIVE - JAMES 1:22 CALLS EACH OF US, "TO LOOK AFTER ORPHANS AND WIDOWS IN THEIR DISTRESS..., AND WE TAKE THIS MANDATE SERIOUSLY. OUR FIRST PROJECT IN 2015 WAS TO OPEN EMMANNE CHILDREN'S HOME (ECH) IN THERI, KENYA. TODAY, WE CARE FOR 24 CHILDREN IN ECH AND 12 BEAUTIFUL GIRLS IN MWANGA HOUSE (LIGHT HOUSE), OUR SECOND HOME OPENED IN 2022. OUR KIDS RECEIVE THE BEST OF CARE - SPIRITUAL, EMOTIONAL, EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL. THE GOAL IS TO SEE EACH OF THESE CHILDREN FIND THEIR WAY TO THEIR HIGHEST POTENTIAL AND THEN ABLE TO GIVE BACK TO THEIR FAMILIES OF ORIGIN AND THEIR COMMUNITIES. EVERY CHILD MATTERS.WOMEN'S INITIATIVE - JAMES 1:22 CALLS EACH OF US, "TO LOOK AFTER ORPHANS AND WIDOWS IN THEIR DISTRESS..., AND THERE ARE MANY WOMEN IN OUR COMMUNITIES WHO ARE DISTRESSED. THERE IS AN OVERWHELMING PERCENTAGE (AS HIGH AS 80%) OF WOMEN IN RURAL KENYA WHO ARE EITHER WIDOWED, ABANDONED OR ABUSED IN SOME FORM OR FASHION. WE HAVE LEARNED TO CARE FOR THESE WOMEN MEANS TO BRING THEM TOGETHER AND HELP THEM TO FIND THEIR OWN STRENGTH IN COMMUNITY WITH OTHER WOMEN. WE STARTED GATHERINGS, BIBLE STUDIES, SMALL BUSINESS PROJECTS (FARMING RELATED) AND LEADERSHIP TRAINING MANY YEARS AGO. THIS LED TO OUR OPENING OF THE EMMANNE WOMEN'S CENTER THAT NOW HOUSES A SEWING/SEAMSTRESS TRAINING FACILITY, THE ANGAZA DESIGN (SHINE DESIGN) FACTORY WHERE WOMEN MAKE CLOTHING AND SEWN ACCESSORIES, AND A TRAINING FACILITY FOR BIBLE STUDY, THEOLOGICAL TRAINING AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT FOR THE NEXT GENERATION OF LEADERS IN OUR COMMUNITY.HEALTHCARE INITIATIVE - WHEN A PERSON IS IN POVERTY, THEY DO NOT HAVE THE MEANS TO PROACTIVE AND PREVENTATIVE HEALTHCARE. WE BEGAN OUR HEALTHCARE WORK IN 2017 WITH A DESIRE TO SEE MEDICAL CAMPS AND DENTAL CAMPS PROVIDE DIAGNOSTIC CARE AND PREVENTATIVE TREATMENT. IN 2024, WE HELD OUR 5TH DENTAL CAMP IN WHICH WELL OVER 450 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED BASIC DENTAL AND ORTHODONTIC CARE. OUR LONG TERM GOAL IS TO PARTNER WITH LOCAL KENYAN HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND THE REGIONAL HOSPITAL TO BUILD A GRASSROOTS PREVENTATIVE AND EDUCATIONAL HEALTHCARE SYSTEM. DOOR TO DOOR VISITS FROM RURAL HEALTHCARE WORKERS ARE OUR NEXT GOAL, WITH A LONG VIEW TOWARDS BUILDING A REGIONAL HEALTHCARE CENTER THAT ACTS AS THE HANDS AND FEET OF JESUS TO OUR VILLAGES IN CENTRAL KENYA.ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE - THE CYCLE OF POVERTY IS CRIPPLING. OUR GOAL IS TO DO ALL OF THIS WORK OUT OF A HEART FOR THE OVERALL WELLBEING OF EACH PERSON WE COME IN CONTACT WITH IN KENYA. SOMETIMES, JUST A SIMPLE ACT OF GOODWILL MEANS THE MOST AND MAKES A DIFFERENCE. WITH THIS MENTALITY, WE HAVE LOOKED FOR WAYS TO HELP PEOPLE WITH IMPROVING THEIR FARMING SYSTEMS (EGGS, AVOCADOS, ARROW ROOT PLANTS, DAIRY FARMING, AND COFFEE). WE OWN THREE FARMS AND SUPPORT A LOCAL SCHOOL FARM THAT FEEDS AN AFFORDABLE LUNCH TO THE STUDENTS BY CULTIVATING THE FARM AND SELLING CASH CROPS TO PAY FOR THE LUNCH PROGRAM. WE RESEARCH BEST PRACTICES FOR AVOCADO, EGG AND COFFEE HARVEST WITH A TEACHER/TRAINER MENTALITY FOR THE COMMUNITY. WE HAVE PARTNERED WITH OUR LOCAL COFFEE FARMERS' COOPERATIVE TO IMPORT COFFEE TO THE U.S. AND SELL IT IN LOCAL MARKETS. LONG-TERM, WE INTEND TO SET UP TRAINING FARMS TO BRING THESE BEST PRACTICES TO THE HUNDREDS OF FARMERS IN OUR REGION.Expenses $287,933 · grants $113,301 · revenue $3,221
