Program accomplishments

  • NEW MENTORS WERE INTERVIEWED AND TRAINED BETWEEN OCTOBER AND APRIL TO MATCH WITH THIS YEAR'S INCOMING JUNIOR CLASS. ALL MENTORS AND MENTEES WENT ON A COMMUNITY SERVICE TRIP TO ISLE AU HAUT TO GET ACQUAINTED AND PAY IT FORWARD. A WONDERFUL SPACE DONATED BY A LOCAL CHURCH WAS SET UP AS OUR WINTER "MENTOR CENTER" THAT WILL ALLOW FOR A SAFE PLACE FOR MENTORS AND MENTEES TO MEET ALONG WITH "FAMILY" DINNER NIGHT, CAREER WORKSHOPS AND MORE. REAL WORLD COOKING AND NUTRITION CLASSES AT THE HIGH SCHOOL CONTINUE TO ALLOW WONDERFUL INTERACTIONS WITH STUDENTS FROM ALL GRADE LEVELS AND OFFER A PLATFORM TO INTRODUCE HEALTHY EATING METHODS WHILE DEVELOPING RELATIONS THAT ALLOW FOR SOLID MENTOR/MENTEE MATCHES IN THEIR JUNIOR YEAR.
