Mission

Hodos Institute is a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing spiritual, ethical, and effective leadership through research, education, mentoring, and charitable support. In 2025, the Institute continued leadership development initiatives in the United States and internationally, with a significant focus on communities affected by the war in Ukraine.

990-EZ for the year ended December 31, 2025

Program accomplishments

  • A major program during the year was the Hodos Youth Academy, which trains mentors and youth leaders within Ukrainian churches and Christian organizations to support young people affected by war and social disruption. Through online training, workshops, seminars, and mentoring, the program equips leaders to help youth develop resilience, character, and leadership skills. During 2025, the program worked toward training approximately 200 youth leaders, providing consulting support to 35 churches and Christian organizations, and indirectly influencing approximately 3,500 teenagers through trained mentors and youth leaders. Hodos Institute also continued its research and educational initiatives on leadership in times of crisis, including contributing to the publication and dissemination of research on leadership in Ukraine during wartime. This work included the book Leadership in Ukraine: Studies During Wartime (Edward Elgar Publishing), which examines leadership practices and perceptions among Ukrainian civic and religious leaders. The Institute also promoted leadership formation resources such as Hodos Leadership, a book designed to equip emerging Christian leaders with tools for spiritual, ethical, and effective leadership. In addition, Hodos Institute provided modest financial assistance to several Ukrainian families affected by the war, helping address urgent humanitarian needs. Through these activities, the Institute continued its mission of equipping leaders and supporting communities navigating the challenges of war, trauma, and social disruption.
